Insect reprellents such as Peaceful Sleep, Tabard and Citronella Oil are strongly advised. Also mosquito coils. Although there are not many mosquitoes due to the onshore breeze from the sea, there are palm flies that bite and the best repellent for these is Citronella Oil. It is advisable to wear long sleeved shirts and light cotton longs on summer evenings |

A coasting vessel of Arabia, East Africa, and the Indian Ocean. It generally has one mast and a lateen sail. In Mozambique, the locals use this for for various purposes, eg: transportation, fishing, tours and services for tourists for a reasonable fee. Inhambane's harbour still has the largest fleet of working dhow's to this day! |

Well known as the 'Pearl of the Indian Ocean'. The Bazaruto Archipelago is one of the worlds most beautiful destinations, making this Mozambiques most popular place to travel. Consisting of 5 Islands: Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangue. Been within a National Park, the waters and unspoilt reefs are protected, making this a dream haven for divers and snorklers who can experience the life of thousands of species of fish, mammals, and coral species. The islands form a chain, except for the smallest inhabited island of Santa Carolina, which lies closer to mainland - to the west of the largest island of Bazaruto. Big game fisherman can enjoy Deep sea fishing around the Santa Carolina island. South of Bazaruto Island is Banquela - the second largest of all the islands and South of Benguela is Magaruque, then the very small island of Bangue, which is uninhabited but exploreable.
