The German owned and managed holiday resort CASA GUCI lies on the outskirts of Vilanculos, approximately 750 kms north of Maputo. Vilanculos, with its interesting mix of original Mozambican/African flair and exclusive resorts, has a small international airport with daily regional flights.
The coast and the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago, strung like pearls in the Indian Ocean, offer miles and miles of pristine sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise water.

On our premises we have preserved the indigenous bush, and therewith its birdlife, and added a multitude of local tropical plants and palm trees.

The archipelago ranks amongst the finest diving and deep sea fishing spots of the African coast and is home to an amazing multitude of inhabitants, from tiny coral fish to the huge Black Marlin, Sea Turtles, Dolphins, the endangered Dugong, Manta Rays and even Whales. Situated on the slope overlooking the sea, CASA GUCI has a magnificent view over the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago.

  Our holiday resort offers three tastefully and comfortably furnished chalets with 2 or 4 beds each and the option to sleep another two persons in the day rooms. Each chalet has its own day room including a fully equipped kitchen with fridge and stove, bedroom/s, separate shower and toilet, ventilators and mosquito nets.

The individual wooden sun decks and small gardens invite you to sunbathe and relax in privacy.

For guests with a smaller budget we offer a thatched chalet with two separate bed rooms - with two beds each and mosquito nets - and an airy day room. Sanitary facilities including an outside shower with sea-view are only 10 meters away. Please enquire for current rates. 		 
 










 
  Dining / Pool area
 

The chef will spoil you with a mix of European and Mozambican dishes or serve you a real italian, oven-fresh pizza.

In our large pool you can either keep fit or just have a lazy cool-down. A 3 meter deep end allows our qualified instructors to take you through the initial steps of a resort diving course. You can keep an eye on your small children in their separate splash pool.

 
 
  Activities
 

DIVING:
The Bazaruto Archipelago is gaining more and more recognition as one of the prime diving destinations of southern Africa. We offer both package as well as individual dive programmes to explore the multitude of our reefs etc. and we can easily fill 2 weeks of diving with an exiting and non-repetitive programme. Let us know your wishes and preferences and we will offer you some suggestions

DEEP SEA FISHING:
The Indian Ocean around our archipelago is home to many small and large species of hungry and hard fighting fish including bill fish like Sailfish and Marlin. Spend a day out at sea and catch a fish or two and have it prepared by our chef – there is nothing better than eating your own catch.

WHALE WATCHING:
From July to October our waters are the resting point for huge numbers of Hump-Back Whales with their calves. Trips to respectfully watch these amazing and awe-inspiring animals can be organised upon your request.
