The Mangrove estuary offers holiday makers calm, safe and crystal clear waters - great for water activities such as snorkling, swimming, kitesurfing, and the adventurous types can explore the mangrove estuary futher up via kayak.

Ponta Falsa (The tip of Pomene beach) has some great rock features (including the "whole in the wall" and blowhole) and here you will notice, the ruins of the Old Pomene Hotel which still claims a great view of the bay.
The rock features give home to many beautiful reef fish, making snorkling and diving close to shore very rewarding .... where, further out to see, the serious scuba diver can explore some of the many spectacular coral reefs - home to a tropical marine life.

Deepsea fishing and spearfishing enthusiasts will be happy to hear that World class big game fishing is renowned in Pomene! Well equipped Deapsea and flyfishing charter boats can be arranged and common catches include, Yahoo, Kingfish, Tuna, Billfish, Couta, Rainbow Runner and Bonito.

For the less adventurous, walks along our pristine white sand beaches and mangrove estuary banks can be well appreciated while fabulous sunset views can be enjoyed from on top of Ponta Falsa's rocky features! Other activities include Horse riding, Quad riding, mangrove trails + much more.

Pomene can only be accessed by 4x4 and basic supplies can only be bought from the closest town of Massinga (So make sure you have got all the necessaries!) Although very comfortable self catering Accommodation is offered in Pomene, there is no cell phone reception, hardly any inhabitants and not much development in the area - which leaves just you and tropical paradise - secluded and rustic - like a vacation in a "lost paradise" - which some have reffered it to as!
